Back Porch?

Saw a different Keystone brand in a dealers showroom the other day. I assumed it was a toy hauler because it had a deck lowered and a patio set up on it. Turns out it was a Cougar with a rear patio option. Wonder when we'll see that on a Monty?

I have seen a number of rigs in RV parks and campgrounds with the fold out patios. Just not yet convinced that is something I would find useful. Many of the places we have stayed, a patio (especially a side patio) could not be deployed due to site size and/or trees near the side where even the awning could not be extended. And if you can't fold out the patio then you can't see out the doors or windows behind it.

Think I will just stay with lawn chairs on the ground.

This one was on the back like a toy hauler. Great for sites that hang over a lake or river.

Dick my friend picked up one last week at the factory. Was amazed when I saw it. Also Cougar has upped their game in fit and finish. The unit was beautiful.

We saw that unit at Camping World in Conway NH. Impressive unit. Not ready to give up my Montana FL, but I can definetly see its appeal!

Couger is IMO keystones best seller they are just everywhere. I hope keystone does not upgrade them to the point were they become unaffordable or to heavy to the group of folks they appeal to.

They seem to be buying up private dealers and moving into new areas as fast as they can get the deals done.

In our experience there would have been few places that we could have had enough room to lower a deck off the back of the Montana.

This is a great point! My friend has just joined us and it was a consideration. His RV is 37 and it's hard to keep it and truck on same pad. They travel with Birds. They love the back porch. They did have hawk swoop down at a camp ground. That was reason they went in for porch model.

Actually it would take a little study and planing, but many COE parks have pads that back up to the lake and some river campground like along the Colorado river have many spots where you back up to the river or the beach. If I had one, I'd be using it.

Yes you would have to consider your travel and camping style. It would not work on our Florida lot or at any of the local C.G we camp at even the side deck would be a big problem. I like the idea but thought has to be given on the purchase of one.

We measured a couple of them at the Tampa RV show and it was out of the question.
