Waterton Lakes

We are looking for a good, reasonable CG near Waterton Lakes for May. We will be there three or four days on the way to Alaska.

There is a campground in the town of Waterton. I have not camped there but before we purchased our 3582 we stayed at the Prine Edward hotel. In touring the town we noticed the CG with the deer calming munching grass among the campers. Seemed like it would be a fun place to stay.

There is a nice little campground on highway 5 heading into Waterton from Cardston called Crooked Creek, which has just been taken over by new management, there is of course the one right in Waterton and there is another heading north from Waterton on highway 6 toward Pincer Creek. Depending on your arrival time in May they should all be open but typically do not open until about the 24th of May.

I have stayed in all three, none are top of the line but certainly adequate.

Enjoy the Area and wildlife.

We have stayed at the campground a couple of times and it is nice clean sites with great views. Big horn sheep in the campground in the morning. The town has several good restaurants. You can reserve on line.

Anyone stay at the Payne Lake Provincial Park? We don't need hookups. Will be doing a lot of Boondocking.
