TST Pressure monitor
So recently my TST TM-510RV started giving me false high or low warnings even though the display said the pressure was good and occasionally gave an warning beep and flashing red light without indicating what it was alarming for. So I called the nice folks at TST and the short story is that I have my unit hardwired and it charges the battery all the time and that makes the battery fail. Even though they supply the hard-wire kit they don't recommend you leave it connected constantly. I'm returning my unit and they will replace the battery. So just a heads up to those of you that have this unit.

I wired it to a fuse that is only hot when the ignition is on thus allowing the TST battery to discharge at night. Do you think this is enough?

Michael
I was thinking of doing the same, but I don't know if the unit will get discharged enough since it goes to sleep when you stop moving. After I get it back I'm going to call again to find out how it should be used.

FWIW: Mine has been hardwired to the ignition so it only charges when the truck is running. It's been like that for nearly 3 years now with no issues.
