Window Cleaner
Hello all, this is our first post, but we've been reading for many months. In fact, this forum was influencial in our decision to buy a Montana. We recently purchased our 327RKS and absolutely LOVE it!
I was wondering what what type of window cleaners were recommended? Some of the glass says tempered, but not all of them, so I'm kind of sceptical of using automotive glass cleaner. I sure wouldn't want to use something that would damage them. All responses are appreciated.

Welcome to the forum,
I use ole Windex, but have to say that recently I came across a new Windex, one with citris, like orange in color. WOW, I have been impressed with what I can clean with that stuff, and no amonia smell. It did wonders on my gold shower stuff, left it nice and shiny!
I think if you read the stickers that came on the 2004 units, on the sinks and faucets it states, NOT to clean with any thing other than something like Windex. So, far, I have not.
Cheers and Happy Trails!

Congratulations on your new unit. May you have many happy miles. Like Al & Carol I just use Windex or Glass Plus. Carol, will have to try that new citrus windex!

We also use Windex but haven't (yet) tried the citrus variety. I also found those microfiber cloths are great for dry cleaning the windows as well as the outside gel coat after a drive in the rain. I got a pack of 5 (6?) for around six bucks in the auto section of Walmart. Now I just wipe them down with the cloths unless there's actual mud on them. Anything to make it easier!

Steve, If You are going to go as far as wiping down the outside with a towel try one of those spray detailers. The little bit of moisture will help clean and lubricate any dirt to help reduce scratching.

I use Invisable Glass cleaner that you can get at Wall Mart. It does a good job with no streaks.

I use Maquires Wax. When the trailer gets waxed the windows do to. Does a great job since none have wipers.

We use orange clean glass cleaner (made by orange glo - from the infomercials you see all the time) and it's awesome. I think we got it at Target or something. That with some newspaper and those windows shine like crazy. And the screws around the windows don't catch on the paper like with paper towels or rags.

We use windex or windex citrus on all the windows, facets, outside of convection oven and on counter tops. Works for us with no streaking.

Polaris, Tempered glass is just like regular glass except that when it breaks it doesnt shard like regular glass does. Have you ever seen a car when the glass has broken? Thats the way tempered glass does. You will usally find it in doors, shower stalls, etc. I use the spray on wax from wally world to clean our glass. It takes all the water spots and ozone pollution off of them. Good luck
