I'm seeing 1.5 to 2.0 mpg decrease, solo, over several tanks. That's both in town and highway mileage as well as combined. Haven't towed enough with it to know how much impact while towing.

Steve what you have seen is typical..You really have to check over several tanks to get a accurate MPG but as I said some time ago we are all seeing @ a 2mpg decrease in our Diesel fuel milage in our schools busses. But..It smells good and it burns clean.

You're right about that Rich. I've just been judging it from the onboard computer driving a 240 mile route I've driven many times. I don't know if we're on winter blend diesel yet but that could also be a factor if we are. In other words, my calculations are not scientific, just observation of mpg figures on the computer that are consistently lower than they used to be by about 1.5 to 2 mpg.

We have fun discussing the "fuel/Motor issue" and it is a concern to all of us but there is nothing we can do about it.The fuel will cost more, the motors will cost more and the MPG will be less but we will just have to pay the price. We figure our change in travel style will justify a diesel in MY 08 or sooner and we will get one no matter what the increased cost because we sure as H--- are not going to stop pulling the camper or change our life style..when we run out of money..we run out of money..till then we are on the road...
