I just went through the Oil Cooler, EGR Cooler, Head Gasket and did upgrade the head bolts. The one thing I have been told by three different 6.0 mechanics is change you coolant every 30000 miles and you Oil cooler will last. The coolant is plugging the oil cooler.

I have nearly 100K miles on the coolant (Motorcraft Gold) in my engine. Coolant and oil temps are both 195-198 with no load on the flats, and 205-210 while towing. Was going to go to ELC, but I just never did it.

How does that Edge tuner work for ya ??,I have to set my Banks back to stock when climbing long big grades or it will send my EGT's too high and I start overheating with my Banks Tuner anyway, not sure how your Edge does on the 6.0 but my Duramax does not like it much so I am scrapping it and keeping it stock as it stays cooler and lower EGT's without it

They aren't cheap but a nice reliable 600+ HP is nice to pull a camper with.

For any of you car nuts here, I've got to confess like me who would like a good read about the glory days of GM try
Autoextremist. Com Rants. It's about Bill Mitchell and a boy who knew him and lived near him.

Works fine for me and what I use it for. I do not have anything to compare it to as this all I have ever used. My EGT alarm is set to 1225. I have not seen that alarm come in.
