Prayers answered-Haley is home
Our niece Haley has been in the Hospital for 10 days fighting meningitis like symptoms. She was flown from the local hospital to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Doctors are waiting on tests for West Nile virus. Please keep her in your prayers. This young lady is just getting started, she's in her second semester at GVSU. This has brought back sad memories for Beth and I as we lost our Allison 10 years ago after a long hospital stay.
Haley is doing better. She is able to get out of bed and stand with assistance. She is sometimes able to feed herself, though immense nerve pain continues to plague her. She is making progress.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Haley is now home and continuing her recovery. She is undergoing physical therapy daily. She is now able to walk short distances with the aid of a walker. Hopefully she will be well enough to be able to re-enroll at GVSU in the fall and continue her college education.
