Kathi, don't ever give up hope, I have a good friend that went through the same thing. It was a long hard fight, but he made it, and Paul can too.
Our prayers are with you both, and your family.

This is terrible news. We're praying for both you and Paul, Kathi. I do know my God has performed a lot of miracles in our family through the power of prayer. We've had members of our immediate family who were told they were terminal and through prayer they recovered. God is a miracle-working God. The Bible says, "With God all things are possible." I believe it's possible for Paul to recover and recover quickly. I'll stand in agreement with you for his recovery.

Thank you everyone. I went to see Paul this morning and he has really been having problems. When the shift changed the his day nurse was checking him and noticed that he was in a lot of pain. She ask'd him what hurt and he said his stomach. When she checked his stomach it was like a bowling ball. They did a ultrasound and found that the balloon from his catheter had shifted downward, thus his urine was unable to drain properly. Once they repositioned it the urine just flowed out. Boy was he ever glad. They tried him on some solid food for breakfast but he wasn't interested. What he did eat came right back up. He is very very swollen from all the fluids they are giving him. They have him on a antibiotic called Premaxin and hopefully it will help get him back on track. His fever is up and down and his blood pressure is still high. One thing I have noticed is each time he goes through this it gets worse. This time is the worst I have ever seen him. It takes longer and longer for him to recover. We are trying to have him moved to a facility that can better take care of his needs. The Vets home just isn't able to take care of these kind of problems. I will keep you posted on everything that is happening. Thank you very much for caring enough to pray for Paul. I know God is with us on this one. He has to be because I can't do it on my own. My friend Veronica has opened her home to me so that I can be closer to Paul. She lives right around the corner from the hospital and I live about 20 miles away. Going to her home will make it so much easier for me to go back and forth to see Paul. This is the most wonderful cyber home I have ever had the pleasure to belong to. You are all so super. Thanks Kathi

Kathi,
We all love you and Paul and we will continue to keep praying for you both. It's tough when you live even 20 miles from the hospital. So glad your friend lives so close and you are able to stay there. Please take care of yourself, and make sure you get the rest you need.
