Flag Mounting

We want to mount a flag on the Monte. Have seen some 5er's with the mount on the pin box, which would also double as another aiming point when hooking up. Where else have folks mounted flags and what type of mounts?

Many RVs use very tall poles attached to their ladders and with flags so high you almost need warning lights at the top to warn airplanes.

We have the Flag Pole Buddy that you can order online from a variety of places and we LOVE IT! In the last 3 campsites that we stayed at we were the only ones that had a flag up! It went through some really heavy winds and performed beautifully! It is also the one that we found many of the MOC members using when we went to Quartzsite, in fact we purchased one at the show there. We also have the solar globe that changes color on the top and we like that too. On the other side of the ladder we put a windsock whip that actually can be higher than the flag but we didn't use that this last trip.

That is pretty cool Chuck! For our pin box I took a smaller flag on a wooden towel, wrapped a piece of velcro around it, and then put the other piece of velcro on the very front of the pin box. Then when we arrive I just pull the flag out of the basement, stick it to the pin box, and put another piece of velcro over the whole thing for added security! It has survived pretty high winds and been fine. My flag is a little smaller than Chuck's. It happened to be one that I had around the house. I like how Chuck has two flags in his!
