Weight of your 5'er

Just out of curiosity, what do each of your 5'ers weigh fully loaded? I know I am a tad bit over the limit. Anyone else?

I am about 1500 lbs underweight. We are not full time and do not carry a lot.

When we got our 3790RD at the end of August, I took it to the CAT scales on the way out of town for Labor Day. The trailer axles weighed in at 13500#. I estimate the pin to be around 3400# for a total of 16900#. The empty weight was 14200# on the mfr sticker. I think the 2600# pin they list on the brochure is a inaccurate to say the least.

Ours weighed in at 16,000 pounds exactly, before we added IS and disk brakes.

I don't think anyone can state exactly what there unit weighs at any given time since (none ?) of us weigh it loaded for every trip.

I know for us, its a lot heavier loaded for a 2 week trip that say a 3 day trip. With that being said I have weighted our rig multiple times in various loading situations. Sometimes we are 1000lbs under weight and sometimes 500lbs over. 15560lbs GVWR. Take for example, If we are Bonn docking for 2 weeks at the ocean, I will bring several coolers full of ice (I get it free from work) that's probably 300lbs right there. Now add as much fire wood as I can in the truck and camper and a full load of water and im sure we will be a little over weight (but just to the site) since the ice and wood will be mostly gone for the trip home.

At least I have an idea what it weighs fully loaded to the max. I would bet that most peoples rigs have never been across a scale before.

Thanks to everyone who responded. We weight periodically at CAT scales, so I know we are 300# over weight. We do plan to rectify that as soon as we are back in Texas (Dec), as there are items we just don't use. I also plan to remove one sofa and add a desk that will be much lighter.

Again, thank you. It does help to know we are not alone.

Since we full time the weight varies only slightly from trip to trip. Our basic rule is that if something comes in, something leaves for good.

I do 1 3 month trip every year and I don't carry what i don't need. No reason to bring something and not use it. However I have found that sometimes I have wished I had brought something but left it at home. So that item was back in the rv when I got home. I think hard about what I load up when i take off. If I was just camping than I may put awning lights and American flag but not on on our trips.

And for us, except for spare parts and tools, if it is not used for a year, it is gone.

When we rolled onto the scale at the start of our last 12K mile cross-country and trans Canada trip I was at my GVWR of 14,100 lbs. That is the heaviest we have ever been at the start of a trip.

Thanks for the breakdown. We are right at 16K and we really want to get the weight down.

Im really surprised at this thread. I thought when it started there would be dozens of weights posted maybe 100s. Weights are always a big topic. This makes me wonder do people weigh their campers?

There are lots of what I call "recreational campers" that never come close to max weight, so we seldom hit the scales once we weigh in the first time.

I don't think you have to wonder Lynwood, NOBODY I have ever camped with has EVER weighed there camper. For the most part people just do not care. I just responded to another tread of I guy towing his 2019 305RL ( GRWR 14,300) with a GAS 2500 truck. They must figure if they can hitch it up than they can tow it. Just like the old photo of the guy who put 20 ? sheets of drywall/plywood on the roof of his VW Jetta to get it home. Did it make it, Probably. Was it meant to carry that load, NO WAY
