Interesting coincidence

One of the volunteers out here at the Arboretum had a brother-in-law come to visit him from Montana who is a recognized cowboy poet. We invited all the volunteers and staff to a campfire in the evening to hear him perform. As the sun was setting, across the ridge came two riders on horseback silhouetted against the setting sun. Turned out it was two ladies who were kind of lost and needed a ride back to their horse trailer about four miles away. I gave them a ride and then we invited them back to the performance. As it turned out one of the women worked in the mining industry and as such traveled around the mining areas of the country and so she happened to be out riding around here. During the performance it came out that she was from the same part of Montana that the poet and his wife were. Made it a really interesting evening.

Amazing what a small world we really live...one thing we love about RVing is how you run into all different people from all parts of life!

Great story...

It's interesting too how RV folks differ from average folks. The ladies kept trying to pay me for just driving them a few miles when I looked at it as a fun diversion (besides my truck uses more gas at a red light then running a couple of miles down the road). The other hosts spent the evening trying to convince the ladies that what I told them was the way it is. RVers like to help others.

Good job Dick and it sounds like a great night. Ironic how things happen on the road. Always something good around the next corner!

I agree, there is no way to explain to non-rver's how much fun this lifestyle can be.
