If anyone wonders what is under the bed... here it is .....the mechanism revealed.

To get a bit more space I opend the floor and installed a bulkhead to keep stuff away from the moving parts. Now, when we leave Canada in the winter we can store our muklucks under the bed away from the clothing in the closet. The piece that was cut out fits back in the hole leaveing a flat floor. The new under bed "floor" is two inches lower then the factory. Lots of room now to store parkas under the bed.
