Wannabe Fulltimer,

My parents live in Zephyrhills and I talked to them a little while ago. The tornadoes missed them and all is safe, my Dad said they really didn't have a lot of wind there and no damage that he has heard about.

Zephyrhills got what we got. We are right in line with them regarding the storm direction last night. Windy and rainy, no damage.

We are here about 10 miles from lake city (white springs) at Kelly's rv park , we got tons of rain and some pretty hefty winds, but other wise we and every one around here came thru ok. this is an area that a tornado touched down on this past christmas day and destroyed a gas station ans serveral houses . Our hearts go out for all those that was hit hard and lost their lives.

Just checking in. We had a lot of wind and 7/8" of rain but no damages in the Clearwater/Tampa area.

Patty I am also waiting to hear any thing on Rob and Julia. The first time I met Rob and Julia was at Recreation Plantation. A big MH and RV Park that sets between The Villages and Lady Lake.

Our prayers and thoughts also go out to all of the families that were in harms way and suffered losses. We are so thankful that our MOC family is in tact. We too have family in the area and are truly blessed that they are fine. We wish the very best to all of the MOC families in Florida. If you need anything, we are just a a state away in Alabama.

We are about 7 miles north east of Crystal River and had lots of high wind, and rain but no bad damage here. I woke Roger up to tell his that they had a "take cover WARNING about 11:15 last night and he covered up his head, turned over and went back to sleep!" Lots of tree limbs down and lots of sand washed everywhere but otherwise we are safe. God was watching out for us.

What a surprise when I was called by my kids in Virginia to see if we were all right. All we got here in Kissimmee (Sherwood Forest) was wind and some heavy rain. Our prayers go out to those in the damaged area. The pictures of the destruction were heart breaking.

I recieved a call from friends in Zephyrhills today and they reported no damage there.

Thanks to all of you that have called or e-mailed us today. We feel very humble. I did manage to take a few pictures of some cars and buses under water in some of the low laying areas here. Wow. I'm glad we are on higher ground.

Checking in to say we are all safe & sound here in Lake Magic near Disney. Do have friends who live in the Villages. Have been in touch with them and they are all okay. The majority of the damage was in the older sections of the Villages. I believe Bob & Julia are in the newer sections. We only had about an inch of rain here. We fortunately were with friends in Dunellen last night and were only aware of hard rain and thunder storms. When we saw the news this morning we called our park manager here for a report and were told all was safe. Death toll is up to 19. Thoughts and prayers are with all those who have suffered from this severe weather.

Joyce, I figured you and Tom were safely tucked in in your park. Didn't think you might be out roaming around. Glad you're OK.

We have many FAA retired friends in the "Villages" and have thus far not been able to get a land line in..no response via E mail. But for a flip of the coin, Az came up winner, we would be in that area..

Rich, you may have had some much colder weather this winter than us, but tornadoes kind of cancel that out just a little.

We had some computer issues, and could not get online today. We are so glad to hear that so many of you came through the storm. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in that area. Thank you, everyone, for checking in. We were all concerned for your safety.

We sure hope everyone is OK. We're in southern Florida (Homestead) and were spared any of the storms that went though. Glad they are gone now.
