Model differences

I wonder if someone here can tell me the structural differences between a 3790RD and a 378RD besides the raised floor in the den. I see the 3790 is 1800 lbs heaver.
We have have a 2955RL now and curious.

3790: Has hydraulic slides and levelers. Does not have the BAL cable slides and the leaking gearbox issue. Cushioned King pin. Newer ones come with Sailun tires. The weight savings may not be worth the cheaper components.

Actually the 3790/3791 have 2 hydraulic slides and 3 Schwintec electric slides which are gear driven instead of cable. Not positive but I think the 378RD has a 10" frame instead of the 12" on the regular Montanas.

There will be more differences in the infrastructure than in the living spaces, IMHO.

UMmmm isn't that what I said sans the frame?

Actually, the larger High Country models do have the 12-in I-beam frame. That one is listed in the 2018 spec sheets with 12-in. We have a HC (the 362RD) and I would bet some of the big differences will be in the quality of woodwork inside and higher level appliances.

No it's not. You said it has hydraulic slides and levelers. Not all 5 slides are hydraulic.

Thanks everyone, I did find an earlier thread that helped too. We're having a little camper fever now. Hopefully it goes away. We have a nice 2010 2955RL and it seems like it may have more cabinets and inside storage than some of the new ones. I do know it has a light wherever you need one.

Thanks again
