Simple Carrier for Winegard Carryout
I took a rolling storage container from Wally World and took the hinge pins out and the lid off. Then I drilled out a couple of the holes already in the storage container (I'll clean that up when it stops raining). Didn't have any 1" plywood I wanted to waste, but I did have some nice 1/2" so I glued and screwed two pieces together and cut them to fit. Drilled four 1 1/2" inch holes for the Carryout's feet to fit in. I then drilled four 1/4" holes thru the boards over the holes I widened in the container. I then put four 1/4" multi hole pins thru the holes and secured them with clips. On the back end of the board I then screwed a small storage container to hold the cables etc.used two 8" pieces of metal across the bottom of the container (so the plastic wouldn't crack). Built this yesterday just before the rain started and got it in the basement and it's still raining so I had to take pictures in there. Less than .5 of an inch in the last three months and now we've had 2.75 since last night and expecting two more days of rain. No hope for the crops, but maybe the ponds will get water for the cattle again. Anyway here's the pictures I have: http://s1221.photobucket.com/albums/...out%20carrier/

Mine is still in the box under the bed. Another email from Winegard today. "should word fine" well it doesn't. Guess somebody will get a deal on it this Winter. Maybe it will work for them.

What satellite company are you trying to use it with? What receiver? How are you hooking it to the Monty? Just went thru all this with Dish and know more than I ever wanted to.

Interesting concept with what you did. For what it's worth, I have a Carryout also that we think is terrific. We had numerous problems trying to run it through the existing wiring in our Montana but after three hours of frustration I drilled a hole through the sidewall of the entertainment slide and installed a coax connector. Now it runs directly to the box inside and setup takes about 5 minutes. We have Dish Network. Love it.

We also have dish tailgater, easy set up, works great!
I drilled a hole next to original coax connector inside the
convience center and fed the coax from vuecube directly
to the cable box, then used the hdmi cable to the tv.
When ready to move, disconnect coax from vuecube coil it
up and it fits nicely in the convince center. I put the vuecube
in the corner of the closet out of sight.
After trying to use the original factory cables and connectors in the Monty
I gave up and ran it direct, couldn't be happier. I put the antenna on the
slide out, then a note taped over the slide switch to remind us to NOT
put slide in.

We just got the Carryout and used the existing connectors in the convenience center and both tv's worked within 5 minutes (DIRECTV). Great little unit.
