Smile upgrades

Well spent some money today, having washer dryer combo installed, plus new toilet in our 2017 3791RD.

We never had an Unvented combo. The vented was OK but wifey said it took too long for each load. Now have separate washer/dryer and she is happier. Says the dryer does a better job. She likes it as she can have one load in the washer while another in the dryer.
We also dumped the Thetford Aqua Magic II for a Dometic 320 and like it much better!

upgrades

We went with the combo washer&dryer cause we wanted to keep the top shelf in that closet. The toilet is the Dometic 310

DW is looking for the WD/Dryer/Folder Combo. She will do plenty of venting until I find it

We kept the top shelf. The washer is on the door side and dryer on the street side. Adds a little balance too.

It was a Thetford Aqua Magic II. After replacing 2 seals it still did not hold water every time. Then it was lift the pedal so the water would stop. That and 1 seal was replaced under warranty once. Had enough of the junk.

Suny07, you must ed have not seen the posts on aqua flooding out the rvs. I was one such that had bath, bedroom, and pass through flooded and flowing until the rv park turned off the water supply. We were away for the day.

OMG - Maybe we change ours as precaution than too.
A flooded Camper would be top of the lists of nightmares I do not want to have.

Thanks!

The absolute reason I and many others have deposited Thetford in the dumpster.

We never even used our Thetford. When we picked the new rig up from the dealer and brought it home, we ordered the Dometic 320. I replaced it 5 days later. What better time to do that kind of job than when the black tank has never been used. This is a no brainier upgrade. In our previous SOB rig we had the Dometic so when I saw that Thetford I said no way. I also, at the advise of others on this forum, added a shutoff valve to the toilet just in case.

We knew a couple who had a flood when gone. Now wife and I shut water off when we leave.
