Rear Ladder broke

I'm unsure how, but bottom of rear ladder dragged on something and bent. Tried to straighten it but apparently the bottom "U" shaped step is a single piece spliced with smaller diameter tubing couplers which broke. Does anyone know a source for repair parts oe replacement bottom step?

You might have to replace the whole thing in that case here's one place to look: http://www.trekwood.com/replacements...s/41092/Ladder
If you have the ability to bend tubing and want to fit a replacement bottom here's a place to look: https://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/cat...ategory_id=155

If you have a good dealer like I have in Mesa, AZ; you can ask them. I got parts to hold the steps on from a used one laying around back. Pretty cheap. Check and see if yours has an old ladder and maybe they can get the part off of it.

This caused me to go out and look at my ladder. I don't believe there is any way I could possibly make mine drag on something even if I tried. What model do you have?

If you google rv ladder parts you will find quite a few sources. Maybe one of them will have what you need.

I have a 2014 3402RL. I also have no idea how it dragged but there are obvious signs go abrasions on the bottom of the lowest point. No other scrapes on the body. I suspect that the last time I had warranty service the forklift mover raised it too high and dragged it on a curb in the parking lot of the dealer. Cant' prove it. Lesson: FULLY INSPECT before leaving!

Believe me, you can drag one if you really want to! I went into a gas station last year tat had an insane hill to get in and out. In was easy, out proved me to be STUPID! I got some parts by googling RV ladder parts from www.factoryrvsurplus.com.

John: I did the same thing 2 yrs ago at Senator Wash in Yuma, AZ. Silly me thought I could drag our '06 3650RK through a wash. Ripped the bottom U section of the ladder right off. Lucky for me, John Kohl was with us and recommended I buy round steel rods of the appropriate diameter and length from Home Depot. So, I found two pieces about 1 ft. long, marked where the clearance holes for the bolts are to be drilled and found a machine shop that would drill the holes for a case of beer. (Really - true story). I then spliced the rods into the upper and lower sections of the ladder. Worked like a charm and the ladder is probably stonger than before. Good Luck!

I did the same thing turning around in a parking lot with a deep drainageway . Mine broke at the bottom step. I took two pieces of aluminum rod,(9/16 dia.I think), and put them inside the broken tubes and drilled and put in 1/4" SS bolts and nylock nuts.It is very solid.

If you look under one of the steps you should see a clear sticker with the manufacturers name. I google that and called them and they had the parts. I ended cutting the tubing off and shortening the bottom so it would not drag again. Mine drug on a speed bump and broke it.

Some manufacturers are making the ladder an option.
