Rear Wall

I have a question about the new 2015 Montanas. When I inspected the trailer I noticed the rear wall seemed different than the sides. I do not have the Legacy package so no rear fiberglass cap. The sides are solid rolled fiberglass over 2 layers of Luan paneling and feel solid. The rear wall seems to be a different material. More plastic like and does not have the same texture. When I press on it it has some give. It does not feel voided or delaminated, just different. Is there something wrong with my wall or is this normal. Hope ng other members can tell me about their walls.

Thanks
Jason

Never touched one when I saw them at the rv show so can't help you out. Hopefully someone who has a new 2015 un-legacy model will sign on and help. John

Normal, rear wall on many Keystone products are sort of free hanging. They are not laminated like side walls.

My 8 year old Cougar rear wall.looks very wavy when looking it from the side.

Thank you! I also called Keystone on this subject this morning and the confirmed the rear wall of the Montana is a hung-wall construction, while the side walls are a Laminated construction.

Yeah ... since 2000 Montana owners used to all have moulded rear caps. Now they just glue a piece of siding over the rear wall frame and slap a decal on it. To get the cap you have to come up with more $$$$.
