3400 WD Closet

I have an 06 model 3400RL. Inside the closet by the main door is also a washer dryer hookup. Up in the ceiling is a vent. My question is what is this vent for a dryer?? The A/C doesnt vent there not sure about furnace.
If I consider a portable A/C can I vent the hot air out of this vent?
Wandering minds need to know.

Phyl & Gladys, I can't give you a definite answer. We have basically the same rig as you and we have a washer and dryer in that closet and also have the vent. I see a roof vent that appears (from standing on a picnic table) to be directly above that closet. I'd bet that vent in the closet is to vent heat and humidity (from the washer and dryer) to the outside. If so, then you could probably tap into it as you're wanting to do. But I'm just speculating based on appearances.

I can answer that question as I asked it at the service center long ago.It was a vent to nowhere.. The explanation I got was that it was a heat release vent for the converter. Meanwhile said I hot air rises and that hole is lower than the converter.... We installed a 4 inch muffin fan in the hole sucking the hot air from the W/D into the ceiling and out the roof vents . It gets very hot in that closet when the Dryer is running.

Actually, there should be another vent on the roof just above the closet. The two vents work together to keep the converter cool. That's the way it is on my 2007 3400RL
