Lyght Transfer Switch humming

I have a Lyght LPT 50CA transfer switch that does the automatic
switching between Shorepower and the generator. When hooked up to CG electrical it makes a constant hum or buzz noise which at times can be very noticable. When I run the generator the noise is extremely loud. I have already checked mounting for vibrations and connections. The switch has only about 10 hours of genertor running on it, it looks new. The noise dissappears if I put pressure on the center of the relay plunger. I suspect that I will have to replace this transfer switch. Has anyone ever experienced this problem and what was the fix?

Thanks

Tony

So the coil is humming, I know of no fix for that...it looks like a nice transfer switch. When I installed one in mine it was only a 120vac/30a unit (smaller) but my intention was to energize just my entertainment center outlet.

At times a very irritating hum which turns to a squeaking buzz when the generator is on.
Any inputs on a quieter transfer switch. We use similar systems aboard the yachts I skipper and never seem to have this noise. Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry, Tony...I know very little about these in regards to noise generated by coil in the active state. Mine has not made any noticeable noise but is a different brand and only 30amp...but they do make a 50amp...
