Water Hose

We have always used the cheap Camco white water hoses like sold at
Walmart. Looking for a better hose with less kinking and easier to
roll up and store. Especially in cool weather. Seems we are going through the cheap Camco's fairly quick.

What are you guys using? Anyone found a good quality soft non kinking hose that's easy to manage?

I don't thing there is such a thing as a "Non-Kinking Hose". I've had cheap and expensive, only difference, the expensive kink a little less, but still kink.
My story and I'm sticking to it!

Mine don't kink and they weren't cheap, but they're going on their ninth year of full timing. Got them from the rvwaterfilterstore.com

Another thing that will extend the life of your hoses is have a high quality pressure regulator at the hose bib, so your hose is not subject to extremely high pressures. I've had fittings blow off the end of a hose, especially when it is hot and the hose is in full sun, prior to using a pressure regulator ahead of the hose. This is the setup I use now, and the stainless steel mesh hose ahead of the regulator is a water heater flex hose with adapter fittings that I can connect to water hose fittings.

Instead of purchasing 25 and 50 ft lengths, I purchase the white hoses in 10 ft lengths. I even have a couple of 4 ft length that I use in and near the convenient center and one spare 4 ft section that I use when a short length is needed to hook up overnight at a campground. The 4 and 10 ft lengths coil and store easily in a tub in our storage area.

I have two 25' Camco white hoses that are still working good after 14 years of use. One hose is used all the time and the second hose is used when the water hookup is more than 25' away.

I recommend. Have used them for about 6 years and still work good as new. Stainless steel ends too. I have a 25' and a 10'.

We've been using the Zero-G RV and Marine hose for over a year and love it.
Much easier to handle especially when cold, and stores in much less space.

Teknor Apex 400650 Company 4006-50 Hose Zero-G 1/2X50 Rv/Marine
Amazon has it for $36.96
Make sure you get the RV/Marine, and NOT the garden hose... rubber tasting water.
Yeah, I know.... (sigh)

Bob,
Great idea with the stainless steel mesh hose ahead of the regulator...

We have a quick connect on the rig side, too.

One thing I didn't mention is that I have a number of hose sizes and everything has quick disconnects on them so I can use however much hose I need.

We went to the Zero G water hose last year and have both a 25 and 50 foot version. They don't kink nor do they take up much storage space. So far these have worked out very well. Other hoses we have found, especially in the past few years, regardless of their advertising hype - kink with the common Camcos being about the worst

Thanks for the recommendations guys.

I ordered the Zero G hose to give a try. Only ordered one 25'er for now to see if it's as advertised. If so, I'll order another. If not, I'm going with the custom hoses that Dick mentioned.

Thanks again to all.

The Zero G hose arrived and I must say its exactly what I was looking for as far as ease of use and storage goes. Much different than the stiff vinyl type camco hoses. This thing is light, soft, supple and no sign of memory. I think I could tie it in a bow if wanted. It came packaged in an octagon shaped box the size of a shoe box.

If it holds up over time, it will be the perfect solution for us. Time will tell. I'll report back this season after some usage.

Have used 2 of the Zero G hoses from CW for at least 6 years and had no problems. Storage is super easy and not very much weight when it comes to hook-up. They are so convenient that I carry 2 of the 50'ers.

I've had good luck with the Zero G hoses. I carry three. Two for fresh water and one for the black.

The best hose that I've found so far is a brand called Zero Gravity they are available in 25' and 50' lengths and are available at Lowes and other retailers. This is without a doubt the best hose I have ever owned it's light, durable doesn't kink and super easy to use

We use those cheap Camco white water hoses and have for many years. They work well for us kinking is not a problem .We just coil them up and toss them in the back of the truck.

I ordered and used a metal hose last year and it worked great. I bought another to use as a hose to my cow trough.
