We stayed at St Marrys. We liked it because it is in the park and rustic. I like what I call the park experience. It is near stores and restaurants the visitors center and on the going to the sun road. If you won't a CG with all hook ups there is a KOA just on the other side od the valley about mile or so apart. You can see one CG from the other.
A lot of years the going to the sun road will close early for repairs so you might won't to check on that.
A hint! Take a pair of binoculars and look way way up on the rocky places on the mountains for an odd colored brown speck. It will be brown bears looking for bugs to eat.

Decide which side you want to stay. You have a east side recommendation. The west side has many good spots, I prefer Mountain Meadows.

We spent a few days in Columbia Falls RV in Columbia Falls, MT, but it was early season so we could use our PassPort America discount.

We always stay at the West Glacier KOA, some beautiful new sites toward the rear of the park.

Second the above. West Glacier KOA gets our vote as nicest campground that we have ever stayed at!

Anyone stayed at North America RV Park in Coram, MT outside Glacier? The reviews look good and we are hoping to use this as our last stop on our way to the border for Alaska next year.

We stayed at the St. Marys KOA last summer. Would recommend it if you are on the East side.

The St Mary's KOA is the one I could see from the St Mary's NP CC. I wasn't in in it but it is very close to the park entrance about one mile. If you won't a private park this one work great. It would be almost like being in the park.

East side: St. Mary KOA. West side: San Suz Ed. These are the two we stayed at and will most likely use them again next summer. Both are probably closest to the park entrances.

We stayed at North American RV Park at Coram MT. GoodSam rated it very good. I believe we paid about $43.per nite in Aug 2014. We were able to move around well from the park as well as travel to the East side on day excursion type trips. We did also tour with the Red Bus tours. Good Luck.

I was going to stay at Mountain Meadows, but due to forest fires and heavy smoke we cancelled. They refuse to refund any amount of money from reservations, so I will never stay there in the future. Every other place we had reservations at refunded our money.
