towing mirrors.

If anyone is towing with a ford sd and are having trouble seeing out of the small mirror at the bottom as I was then I highly recommend the c-beta towing mirrow. It is especially mad for the super dutys. I just put a set on mine and it makes all the difference in the world..Anything to improve towing safety.... FYI Jack

I really don't have trouble with them, but I'm curious as to what they look like. Do you have a link to anywhere that shows what they look like, or the store where you bought them? I did a yahoo search and couldn't find them. Thanks.

From sreigle (steve) -- Wagonmaster, starting with either the 2000 or 2001 superdutys, those lower small convex mirrors are manually adjustable. Just push on them to adjust where you want them. I've done that on mine. Sometimes I have to readjust them after having the truck washed...

At the NE rally one of our members sells and distribute auxiliary mirrors that fits Ford, GMC, Dodge, etc. To get a look at them see www.autobarn.net/bigauxrearsi.html.(look at the large mirrors) You can order at phone # 860-518-3384 or Email artminor@sbcglobal.net I purchased two sets and use them on my F350 and my Friends has them on his 3500. They work very well.

Steves, I'm curious, did your Ford not come with the big Ford tow mirrors? Or did you add these in addition? Reason I ask is the last magazine I read said you cannot find an aftermarket mirror that is better than the Ford tow mirrors. Maybe that's changed since that article? I tried to see the mirrors in the link but it takes me to their front page despite the url. I'll try again. I'm extremely happy with these towing mirrors so am really curious. If there's a new product that's even better, then I'm always interested in that. THanks.

Steve - yes I have the Ford tow mirrors and they work very well. What I liked about these add on mirrors is that I can see the whole trailer top, bottom and full side while turning. This is what I get when I copy the website page showing the mirrors http://www.autobarn.net/bigauxrearsi.html - put mirrors into their search function and you should be able to find them

Wagonmaster,

That didn't work either. But I did do a search for C-Betr, and found several links. Here is one with a good picture of them:

Are these the ones you are talking about?

Bought the C-betr auxillary mirrors after reading about them here and on the TL Forum. Have had them for about 6 weeks now, delivery was prompt, price was reasonable. While the factory Ford mirrors are very good, as a newbie to pulling, I appreciate the added side view these provide.
Really helps me with safe(er) lane changes.
