Ours is a switch on the interior control panel where the slide control and scare light switches are. Not sure on yours, but you might check in that area.

Like Dick, mine is on a panel with the slide control, scare lights, living area overhead lights, and porch light. It is labeled porch light.
But mine is a 2007. Don't know where it may be on a 2000.

Ours is a 2000 3555RL and the switch is just inside the door on the wall to the right. It is part of a dual switch (one for the scare lights and the other for the entrance light). They are not labeled.

Does anyone know how to change the porch light bulb? I do not see any screws on the yellow lens anywhere and it doesn't look like the lens just pops off.

Havn't tried the Montanas yet but my last trailer you just squeeze the lens and it pops off. It appeared the Montanas was the same style. Wonder why they did not put the light switchs just inside the door like on the 2000 3555RL. Would be nice to have a light on as you go in, instead of having to feel around on the panel to get the switchs. By that time don't need the porch light, I'm already inside lol...

Have not turned it on many times but I think mine is connected inline with the scare lights. I would like to leave just the step light on to find my way home in the dark, without the bright scare lights on too. Can the step light be on alone?

Try this item. Has a motion sensor/photocell feature. Smart Light 2000. A 400 lumen bulb is optional. Have one on our 2008 3485SA and like it a lot.

They also have the smartlight 1000 that is a direct replacement for the porch light and has the same functions. It's on my short list of mods.
