winter camping fulltime in Pa

My son wants to fulltime near Lancaster Pa to be near D/D in a Mountaineer 347THT with Glacier Psckage. Pinch Pond campground is open all year with winter water. He would pull out several times a year for work, but that would be home base for several yrs. How does that work for people who have done this. He won't buy trailer or T/V until house sells. He really likes the 347THT compared to the heavier toy haulers. All responses and advise welcome. Thanks, Ray

Ray I don't know about staying there in winter but lancaster is one of my favorite places to go. "BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY" he would also have somewhere to eat "GREAT FOOD". LOL

Ray,

We have just completed our 2nd year fulltiming here in Central Indiana. We heat tape the water hose, have the sewer on a good incline so no liquid pools in the hose and freezes, use a large (100lb) LP tank so we don't have to fill as often. We did add skirting that snaps around and covers the underside and it seems to help some.

Fulltiming in the winter has it's challenges but is not as bad as you would think. Take some precautions against freezing up, use common sense, plan ahead and he will do fine.

Thanks for the replies, where do you get the snap on skirting and is it hard to install the snaps to the trailer. Do you have to drill into fiberglass or just the aluminum or plastic.
