Slideout topper
When we bring in our slideouts after it has rained, 2 of them splash water on the ceiling and walls. I was thinking the answer is awnings, but I came across the Slideout Boot, by Texas Innovators. Does anyone know about these? They look like a great idea....

I have never heard of a slide out boot. A lot of the owners on here do have a roll out awning attached on the top of the slide, which moves, with the slide whenever it goes in or out. This will shed most of the water and sometimes on ours; it will allow some of it to pool on the awning creating a splash outside of the camper whenever it closes. However, I’ve never had any problem with the water getting inside with our awnings; neither have we had any problem with water before we had awnings on our other Montana, due to closing the slides. Perhaps the slides are not moving smoothly or you might have something going on with the rubber strip around the slides. I’ve never heard of water splashing in when they are closing although I believe its possible. I hope this is of some help!
On edit, I notice that you have a 2011 model. I would check with the dealer on what might be going on with it. Are you still under a warrantee?

Our 2010. Had the hole for the big slide cut too small causing it to shake coming in. Something to check.

Our slide toppers are like Bill & Donna's, work very well. Never heard of "boot". Also toppers keep leaves, twigs, etc. from accumulating, which candamage your seals. Only negative I see with them is they are a little noisy in windy conditions. Larry

I really appreciate your responses. I did take our Monty back to the dealer. They did a pressure test and said all is good. It happens when the top seal "flips" from when it slid out to when the slideout slides in. The dining and the master bed slides are affected, the others are ok. I have gotten splashed when it happens, while standing in the kitchen. Google "rv slideout boot" and check it out. I haven't checked on prices,,, yet.
What a great web site this is!!!
