My Monty has the MORryde pin box and I have never experienced jerking, chucking or bucking. That said, there is nothing that can be done about bad roads and bridge transitions. Even with the MORryde, there is some slack between the kingpin and the hitch jaws that allows some movement but the rubber shear spring in the pin box absorbs the shock. There are other pin boxes that use air bags and shocks to accomplish the same thing but I prefer the MORryde.

MORryde
I had a 2010 and now have a 2015, both had the MORryde pin box and handle the bumps and expansion joints very well. Plus they are very simple, and very easy to replace the rubber shear in the box. I will continue to use them. I have noticed that Montana has decided to use a different pin box on the new units

We also prefer the Morryde and have had one on both of our Montana's. The hitch also makes a difference and with the way the Pullrite wraps around the king pin we don't have any issues.

We have the mor ryde pin box and it does quite well at reducing what you are talking about. Is it perfect "no" we still get some fore and aft movement (felt in the truck) on some roads.

Last year we took our first long trip from California to Pennsylvania. By the time we got there, our backs were "toast" because of the chucking and bucking. Had a Reese 5th Airborne shipped to PA campground. Installed it with the help of my nephew.
The ride on the return trip was amazingly smooth...all of the chucking and bucking was gone!
Currently on a 7,000 mile loop of the country, took 80 from CA to PA, 95 south to 10 west slowly heading home. Currently on the gulf in Cameron, Louisiana. Been on some real bad highways, still no chucking and bucking. Very satisfied, and the Reese is just a little more expensive than a Mor Ride
I carry a small Fini air compressor. Very handy to air up hitch and tires.

We have the MoRyde and have no chucking at highway speeds. Normally if it occurs it would be at slow speed or deceleration but this hitch does a fine job of moderating it. Having balanced braking coordination between the tv and trailer will eliminate most of those issues. Our tv and trailer are within load specs for each other. If you are overloaded then chucking and other handling issues will result.

We had the Lippert rubber pinbox (Rotaflex) and a PullRite SuperGlide, i was not happy with the ride.
Have installed a Lippert Air-Ride pinbox and PullRite SuperLite hitch, tremendous improvement in ride quality. Even the bridge joints are dramatically better.

The main issue that we have is the road. We have have some movement, because of the slider.

Replaced original pin box with a Morryde pin box and what a world of difference. We even tried the weight moving thing, where you put bags of sand or salt in the front or rear to redistribute weight, nothing worked. But after having the Morryde pin box installed. It was like we were towing nothing behind us. So if you are just considering............. I say go for it. It was well worth it for us. We have a Keystone Montana 2130 and use a 2018 3/4 ton Dodge Ram to tow it.
