TRAILER HITCH ON 5TH WHEEL MOUNTAINEER

HAS ANYONE PUT A TRAILER HITCH ON THEIR 5TH WHEEL AND IF SO HAVE YOU HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE FRAME. THE FACTORY TOLD ME IF I PUT A HITCH ON THE TRAILER IT WOULD VOID MY WARRANTY. I WANT TO PULL A SMALL BOAT.

We too were told that if a hitch were put on our 5er that it cancelled out the warranty. We went ahead and had the dealership that we bought the 5er from install the hitch. We have traveled over 400 miles at one time with a 17 foot fishing boat on the back of the 5er and have had no problems.

I believe the hitch needs to be put on by someone that knows about the unit.
