Ice maker death and replacement
Don't you just love it when things work out for the good. We bought a stainless steel icemaker (the small floor model) at Camping World two years ago and decided to get an extended repair plan at the time which cost $29.00. The icemaker died about 5-6 months ago and we imediately went out and bought one at Home Depot. Called the claims department for the extended repair service and then took the non-functional water holder (all it is good for now) to the Camping World in Myrtle this weekend while I was there and will be receiving a replacement unit within the next three weeks or they will ship it to the house if they can't locate one in that time frame. I am not usually a proponent of these "extended warranties", but I must admit that this $29 definitely paid off. We keep one ice-maker in the rig and one at the house because we like them so well. Of course, while we were there, DW decided that we just "had" to have new chairs and rockers for the outside. Got a great deal on both so can't complain!!
