I'm going naked

I couldn't stand it any longer, so now I am going to go naked until I decide what to do with the front cap. The graphics were curled so bad that I am embarrassed to be seen like that so I removed them and I think naked looks better than the curled graphics. I wish Keystone would step up and take care of them but my multiple requests have fallen on deaf ears.

Before: The graphics were curled much worse than they show in this picture which was taken in June 2007.

Looks primed and ready for the full body paint!

It's either my eyes or my brain - but I swear I can still see Montana written across the front in your pic. Does it show where the graphics were? (fade)

Like Brad, I think I see where the "Montana" used to be but it still looks a lot better than the peeling decals.

The is a not very old Alfa down the street which went naked also. The owner got tired of the degenerating decals and removed them. So it is not just a Montana problem.

This sure doesn't help the Montana/Keystone image.

Paint it like splattered bugs and you won't notice them or have to clean the front every time you take it out.

Doug,

You had me worried, thought you were going to start residing at the bookstore in Quartzsite.

You look good naked.

BTW, Only 61 days until the Quartzsite Rally!

Doug, now that you've gone that far, just do a full body paint. Maybe contract with those companies that do those spectacular paint jobs on Prevosts - mountain scenes, etc... May need a little money for this.

My last TT needed some stickers, I got them from the manufacturer. Normally they charge, but I told her it was free advertising for them...so she sent them on for free.

Dave, I have only taken the front cap graphics off. You are having wild dreams of spending my money.:-) I am thinking of having a mural of some sort put back on the front cap. I would love to put the Montana graphics back on but am thinking I would have the same problem a couple years down the line.

Doug,
I'm afraid your'e right, if you were to replace the graphics they will probably look just like the old one's in a few years. I have told more than one person from Montana at the rallies that this isn't very good advertising for them and all I get is a blank stare. No comments.

Charlie, I have been told that I can order them from our dealer and have the graphics installed by the dealer or who ever I wanted but I still am not convinced that they would not look bad again in a few years. I spent over 6 hours taking off the old graphics and the glue so I do not want to have to do this again in a few years. I am going to call the guy I used for my truck signs and see what is available to put on the front that will take the sun.

Doug I agree with the fact Montana needs to step up to the plate with this substandard graphics problem. I realize things need maintance over time. With this said I noted 4 huge bubbles on the graphics of the new unit I looked at last week. The salesman just kind of shrugged them off like it was no big deal. I mentioned the graphics problems people have been having and still got an "oh well" response. Needless to say that is not the dealer I am purchasing from this week.

Doug, it looks great. I agree it is much better than the curling graphics. Ours are not that bad yet, but I can foresee another white front in the near future. You should get better mileage as that curl was probably slowing you down with wind drag!!:-) By the way, thanks for a great visit. See you next time we are through that area...

Our graphics after 18 months and many, many miles are in very good shape, Dings and road tears but no peeling or curling anywhere. I would not be unhappy if the front graphics went bad as that would be a great excuse to remove them and paint on something nice.

Sure glad you cleared the Naked part!
I don't know if I am relieved or disappointed

A mural would look great. Have been seeing other brands with scenery etc on front and backs. Instead of the orginal front and back.

Sorry, Doug. I get excited when it comes to spending other people's money. Must be a company that could do something durable at a decent cost.
