I have a TST 510 system on all my truck and trailer tires and have been very satisfied with it. I think there are 2 well known systems, TST and TireMinder, and many other lesser knowns. My advice is to get a good system for the trailer with flow-through air valves and replaceable batteries.

When I bought mine in 2013 I thought TST was the best system. Since then with experience I have found that I really don't need sensors on the truck, but it is nice to have a complete system. Adding or removing air would be much easier with a flow-through system rather than having to remove the sensor. The batteries last a long time, but since new sensors are expensive and batteries are cheap, you want replaceable batteries.

My system has warned me of failing tires with slow leaks many times before they completely lost pressure. It has probably saved me money on repairs since I can replace the tire before it disintegrates and damages the trailer. My Montana came with E-rated tires which wore out prematurely, and I eventually switched to G-rated. I monitor my pressures and temperatures closely on trips, along with wheel hub temps.

Another for TSTand their flow through system. Customer service is great as well. I change the batteries yearly with new bought via ebay for about a buck or so apiece for fresh Energizers

TST for me. For years. I don't like the flow-through one's though. They're too slow. Too restricted, while filling with a pump. I returned my original ones and got the non flow-through 507. I only have to add air about once or twice a season, so the 20 seconds additional per tire to unscrew and reinstall them is a total non-issue for me. My trailer doesn't move without them being installed. By the way, they are never installed unless I'm getting ready to move. The batteries last much longer if you remove them during long periods of inactivity.

For 5 years I have owned one the 2 most discussed brands on this thread. I thought I was having some battery issues, so I stopped at WM on my way home from a camping trip and installed new batteries, then continued on home about 45 mins away. When i got home and went to remove the batteries from the sensors, and found 1 sensor was missing the cap and battery, yet I had not received a 'no signal' warning on the receiver. Believing I was beginning to have issues (not battery related) with my system I called the manufacturer and was told that if I lose the cap and battery while traveling down the road it could take "up to 30 minutes" for my receiver to register a 'no signal' condition. Due to this, I will likely be buying a different brand before camping season starts this year
