Question re: Splendide Washer Dryer Combo

Can those of you who have the Splendide Washer Dryer Combo please let us know if you can run the unit and interupt a cycle to remove articles? The wool socks I wear under my prosthesis need a cold water wash and must never be subjected to heat of any kind-otherwise they will wind up looking like a felted jacket and be totally useless. At $14 a piece I can't afford any mistakes. Any experts out there who can tell me if I can remove things before the dry cycle sets in? Since I can use up to six socks a day, the answer is crucial!!!!!! Thanks. Bill

yes you can. The unit will lock out when there is water in it, but between the wash and dry cycle yoy can open it. you just turn it off, then wait a minute or so.

Send a message via MSN to Parrothead
Or you can set the dry cycle to 0 minutes then it stops as soon as the wash cycle is complete. I do this for several of my things I want to hang dry.
Happy trails....................

According to the Captain of the Wash (my wife) once you load the washer and it starts to fill the door can't be opened until the washing is done. My wife will then take out about half of the load and then dries that. She then will dry the other half. We have had our Splendide since 2002 and she loves it.

A way to be sure it doesn't go to the dry cycle is to not set a dry cycle when you start the machine. This way the machine will stop at the end of the wash cycle. You can remove the articles you don't want to dry in the machine, then set the dry cycle and start the machine again.

Thanks all! I feel much more comfortable knowing this. Now we just have to find the new Monty to haul the Splendide around on its sightseeing tours. Bill
