Loud bang heard in kitchen area of 305RL

This weekend my wife was standing inside our new High Country 305RL talking to me as I was outside. She heard a very loud bang inside she says somewhere around the kitchen slide. I checked cables on the slide, under and over the RV and find nothing. The slide works fine. Does anyone have any idea what we might have heard? Thanks for any ideas...

Do you have the hydraulic level up system?. They are known to make noise. The fix is to add a quart or 2 of recommended hydraulic fluid to the tank. Just Google the issue and you will get all the info to fix the issue.

Puzzzler. Beeje is correct, easy fix for hydraulic noise. Detailed instructions in the Lippert operators manual you should have received with the fiver. Usually the hydraulics make a popping noise during temperature variances or air in the system rather than a single loud bang as you described. Sometimes a noise at the next site sounds like it is coming from yours. I woke up one night to a bearing noise, checked everything from inside the trailer, stepped outside, it was my neighbors AC.

The 305rl has Cable Slides as does our 343rl. We had a similar noise when extending or retracting the kitchen slide. Our problem was the two wood blocks on the drive chains were hanging enough to cause the noise as they passed each other. I do not think this would be the problem here unless you were extending or retracting the slide, but just something to check on. Not a problem to fix if this was the problem.

No chance awning was out and windy? When it flexes the spring and go back it is a loud pop inside.

How about the galley grey tank failing due to a defect in the tank or overfilling. Sure sounds like a tank failure to me.

If you just backed in to your spot sometimes the suspension from the twist and bind when backing up makes loud snapping noises as you are doing it and some time right after.

Maybe a weld broke out somewhere, worth going over with a mirror and flashlight!
