Well All,

I have an 06 3400 with the fireplace and it does have a remote. It also mixes Margaritas! It does a lot better job on the Margaritas though. When I try to use it to adjust the fireplace, it (she) tells me where to go! I then adjust the fireplace.

I do have a remote that came with my fireplace that I installed. The fireplace is a Dimplex and so is the remote. The remote is only a small 2 1/2”x 4” box that plugs into your wall socket. so you can plug anything to it – in this case I plug in the fireplace.
Now the down side. I have had it come on when we are not around. Thus someone in the neighborhood has something that is causing this so I had to removed the remote.

In our case it was not a big deal that it came on as we only had the “flames” (light bulb) on but it could have been bad if the heating part was on while we were gone for an extended time.

We love our fireplace and would not be without one!

Our '06 3295RK did not come with a remote, however I don't see how one would work in our setup. The power switch that activates the fireplace toggles from the fireplace to the microwave, so we can only operate one or the other and not both at the same time. If our switch was on the microwave side then the remote would be useless as we would still have to manually move the switch off the microwave, thus defeating the need for the remote. Mike
