Drip Rails Leaks

On our 3400, the drip rail on each side of the roof is 3 pieces. I've tried caulking the gap (from the outside) between the sections, but it never lasts long.

I thought about caulk from the inside, but don't want to impede the flow.

Maybe Eternabond on the outside, may look a little tacky.

Any good ideas?
