Replacing Carpet Strip in Kitchen/Refer area slideout?

What is the best way to replace the Carpet Strip in the Kitchen/Refer area slideout? Has anybody tried to do it?

You might want to add year and model

It is a 2012 Montana 3455SA. I must have drop so bacon grease on the carpet and my
Labs was nice enough to eat holes in the carpet.

Not 100% certain, but the couple of times we had to have the fridge worked on for new cooling units, it looks like the carpet goes under the woodwork at the bottom all the way under the fridge. If you have a removable panel below the fridge that can come off with four screws, take it off and look in there. Not sure why they put carpet all the way under.

I think rohrmann is right about that. But you could cut it off around the cabinets like the do in Sticks & bricks.

I have a 2011sa and can tell you for sure that the carpet covers the entire slide floor form side to side and front to back. I thought about doing something similar to mine but have not done so yet. I think when I do, I will just cut the carpet at the cabinet face and install some sort of wood/laminate trim in its place. Maybe even a corion ledge with a wood apron under.
