X 2. I spent a few minutes research a better tire than the 614, a very good tire. Sailun came up quickly. I spent hours trying to find a better tires and~~ could not. Not just my opinion. Still, others like the 614 best.

so back it up, let us know what other forums, columns, web sites that have multiple complaints about Saliluns. I saw these tires on the front of a couple of tractor trailers at the Flying J asked one independent trucker at the diesel pump his opinion and said he likes them and no problems. I belong to many forum boards and across the board they are praised. I did read where one guy on the Ford diesel web site complained about the noise over his last set of Firestones but I don`t believe the Saliuns are marketed to be passenger car quiet or all seasons like the others are. So lets us know.

When I live in SOCAL - I had been cleaning the spa cover with baking soda and water for years - no issues - 30 days after using Armor all dang thing started cracking. Also put it on a fairly new set of tires - within 60 days they stated cracking on the sidewalls. Part of the issues might have been SOCAL air quality.

So it is appreciated when people mention the length of time they've used a solution.

I hand applied 303 protectant to my 2010 decals thinking it would offer uv protection. Could be coincidence, but they have cracked and started peeling off on all edges soon after. When I wash it now, flakes of decal are everywhere. Big letdown and mistake trying to be preventive.

The G614 tire may or may not be problematic, so how about comparing the Sailun S637 to the GY G114 tire. Load and spec wise they seems more similar than the G614 vs S637. My info says the G114 is an solid tire.

Thoughts?

No doubt the G614 is a "solid tire". No one disputes that. However, searches for complaints find few on the G614 and so far not one on the S637. I have the S637 in 235/85 which has a 4400# rating at 110 psi instead of the 235/80 with a 4080 rating. Most are going with the S637 as it not only has a better reputation but is about 1/2 the cost.

Are you referring to the GY 614 or the GY 114? Just want to be sure.

I belong to many RV forums including trucks, never read of an issue. There might be a couple out there but anything manufactured by humans will have a certain amount of failures. All and all the Sailuns have it over the Goodyears hands down.

G114 is an H rated tire and is 3X the price of a S637 plus would require you to buy 17.5 inch wheels. Based on the reputation of the S637 they don't make sense.
