First Family Trip

We just got back from our first full family trip in our new mountaineer. Boy what a difference in moving up from a light weight. This trip reinsured our decision on the new rig.

Congrats on your new mountaineer. What did you have before this one? We started camping years back in a tent, then pop-ups, moved to a hybrid travel trailer and now a fifth wheel. No matter what we were pulling we had fun as a family.

We first had a Keystone Passport 240QS. It was a nice first TT for us having a Dodge Durango, but after a few trips we realized that it was a little small for us. We always camp with 6 and a 115 lb dog. It rained three times in a row and the kids were trapped in there bunks alot. We realized that if we were going to spend time every month we might as well take the leap. The rear bunk house room in our 32PHT was priceless. We have a couple warrantly items but they are all minor/cosmetic. We had no mechanical malfunctions.

Congratulations Rescue!

Nothing beats a great trip with the family. It seems to me no matter how tired we get of each other and how much we bicker and fight in the car, the memories are always good. A little comfort in a new rig never hurt either !

Congrats on a first great trip. It makes it so much nicer when you have your own space.. especially if you encounter rain.

Congrats on your Mountaineer. We did a simular jump last October, going from a 19 foot to the Mountaineer. We have been very happy with it! Karin (the beloved wife) has started a journal of our trips. It is a nice way to keep track of where you have been and the different experiences you have had. Of course, with 6 and the pup it must be hard to sit and do much extra stuff!
