Replacing sofa/sleeper

Anybody replace the sofa/sleeper in your Montana? Our air mattress is leaking air again and the sofa is showing wear. We need and use the air mattress when the Grandkids visit and I really like the large storage drawer. Anyone know where keystone gets these and if/where I can get one?

Before you lock yourself into replacing it with the same, do some research, and you will find some very nice replacements, some even with very comfortable mattresses that you don't have to blow up. If we used our sofa as a bed more often, it would have been gone already. It's not even real comfortable to sit on, and we had to replace a cushion cover and the air mattress under warranty way before the year was up, also had to reassemble part of it due to hardware coming apart.

Absolutely, get something you like. We got rid of all of our furniture (sofa, chairs) and replaced them all with La-Z-Boy furniture. We went with two "wall hugging" recliner chairs, and a "sectional" type chair arrangement. It's actually two recliners, but they "lock in" to a center console, that has cup holders, counter top, and two nice storage drawers. Oddly enough, the La-Z-Boy furniture is lighter than the RV items, therefore easier to move back for closing up the slides. We priced a new RV sofa, and it was WAY more than the La-Z-Boy items.

We replaced the original sofa with a twin bed (mattresses and frame, no headboard) which serves as a daybed/couch/spare bed. Nice quilt/covering, several pillows and we have a much more versatile and comfortable piece of furniture which actually gets used. Perfect for curling up with a book. It weighs a LOT less than the sofa sleeper did. That sofa was so uncomfortable our dog was the only member of the family who used it.

Guess my point is, you have all sorts of options.

We immediately replaced our couch with a futon. It was about half the weight, sleeps better, and folds into a bed in about 2 seconds. Everything still stores under it nicely. Also recently got rid of the dated recliners and replaced them with La-Z-Boy rocker/recliners. I feel we updated the 2008, lost some weight in the process, and made it more usable.

We have already replaced the recliners with lazy-boy rocker/recliners. A futon is a great idea! I see a furniture shopping trip in our future. We will be in the Orlando, FL, area for the next few weeks. Any good furniture stores in the area?

A futon. A Great lighter weight alternative idea for that uncomfortable sofa bed. The hardest part of this is getting that old heavy sofa bed outta there. Our floor plan makes this tough (rear living room with french doors and then gotta drag it through the kitchen and around the sink and cabinetry.

We are looking at a La-Z-Boy Madeline Supreme Comfort, Queen Sleeper to put in the place of our recliners, if measurements are correct it will fit and clear slides(81"x34.5"), we will then replace the recliners with La-Z-Boy Harbor Town Reclina-Rocker® Recliners, giving us more room around dinning table. That way we get rid of 2 headaches, one uncomfortable, leaky sofa bed and 2 poor quality recliners. Reviews on queen sleeper 5 out 5 stars on every review.

When I removed our original sofa I took the whole thing apart. I cut out the plastic mattress to start. By breaking the whole thing down it was easy to carry out and easy to get into a dumpster. It is amazing how updated and nice new La-Z-Boy furniture makes you unit look.

After getting in touch with Flair Interiors, Inc(warranty@flairinteriors.com), Mr. Jeff Haney advised he would replace our air mattress even though it is out of warranty. Cannot believe such great customer service, highly recommend anyone having issues with their Montana Furniture, to contact them as Keystone and my dealer rejected any type after warranty solution. Still going to La-Z-Boy recliners will be keeping Flair sofa bed a while longer.
