Ranier Tires seems to be tires being delivered on HC and Montana's

My HC is one of the first with the mid year change. It came with E rated Ranier tires. At the RV show the dealer brought in a Monana 3701LK and an early model year HC Both had Raniers and the early model year HC had E rated tires. That is contrary to all published literature, online or printed.

The Montana's were still G rated tires.

Yes, I know there is a disclaimer in the brochure, but it looks like the change to E range tires has been for a while now.

I have the Rainier tires on my 2018 3121RL I picked up the other day MFG date was 12-17-2017.

I drove them roughly 700 miles and they seem to be ok, G rated and all 4 are at 110psi.

I guess time will tell on how good they are etc

Your choice, but beware that the Rainier's don't seem to be any better than the Marathons, Trailer Kings, or several other cheap brands put on new units.
Very good Friends went through all five tires on there Jayco while on a Canadian Maritime trip.

I am looking at the GoodYear or Sailun’s as a replacement.

I hate when they do this stuff when they have a tire that works and then switch to SOB just for cost when We wind up having to spend more to replace them.

Just ordered my 2nd set of Sailun 235x85x16 tires from Simple Tire for $539.60 delivered to my door.I doubt there is any Sailun's cheaper anywhere. These are cheaper than what i paid 4 years ago.I have about 20,000 miles on my original set and they still look good with no problems whatsoever. I'm buying a new set now only because my utility trailer has 16'' tires and one of my tires had the rubber peeling off because of age so i decided to buy a new set of tires for the rv and install the old sailun's on the utility trailer. I was going to buy new tires in the fall anyhow. With 10% off and free shipping i decided to go ahead and purchase a new set now. I don't believe there is a better tire out there especially for the money.

Correction on my tires. They were $530.60 not $539.60.

Dear Jeffba,
What tires were expecting on a High Country?

Even if they are putting the Rainier Gs on, I would insist they swap out for the Sailuns. I wouldn't even consider the Rainier Es. Can't imagine there is any real difference in price for Montana - it may be an availability issue.

My 2016 HC 310RE came with Rainier "E" tires. They were garbage.

I bought a 2017 370 BR from inventory and noticed the Rainier tires immediately. Did a few minutes researched before I picked it up and figured they were 1/2 step over Trailer Kings. Ordered Sailun tires and drove the 43 miles from the dealer to the tire shop before I brought it home. It seems Keystone saved a few dollars on tires but thankfully, put them on the same 110# psi wheels as the Sailuns came on. 5 tires maybe they saved $50 - $70 total and a little weight too.

I would expect they put the load range tires they advertise. Fs vs Es

Check the Rainier site. No LR F listed. Same wheels as on the Montana so with 43 miles on the Rainier I switched to Sailun.

I checked with someone in Elkhart last week who talked to the Montana rep and the word was that they ran out of Sailun tires and temporarily switched to Rainiers until more Sailuns came in. Not sure how true that is but straight from the reps mouth. We shall see.

Rainier have been on HC since the 2017 models. Surely could have got some in by now.

I think the difference is that HC gets F range while Montana gets G range. It's the G range that they ran out of according to the regional rep. Just passing on what I was told.

No LR F on the Rainier page. The LR E on my 2017 HC was not enough in my opinion. Besides, Rainier does not have near the reputation of the Sailun I put on instead.

Agreed on the reputation. I told my salesman in Elkhart that I will not accept Rainiers on my 3791RD when it is produced. The new HCs are supposed to get this tire according to the site: ST235/80R16F
