Full Timing Insurance

Has anyone out there used Explorer RV Insurance Agency in Ohio. Their underwriter is Progressive. Also, how about GEICO and Progressive directly? National Interstate will not reply to my e-mails. They do not have an agent in my area.

Trying to buy full timers RV insurance for our 5er and it appears that the only people who care about our business is Explorer RV.

Thanks for any input you can give me.

Judy

I am not sure who you are trying to e-mail at National Interstate but I dont think you can deal with them directly, you need to go through an agency. I live in ILL and use Thum Insurance out of Grand Rapids MI. There are agency offices that sell National Interstate all over but not in all states.

We used Explorer RV for several years and were very happy with them. They put us on National Interstate. One claim, prompt service. No complaints. Good agency.

Thanks for the input. So far, Explorer is winning. Will make some more calls on Monday and see if anyone can beat them.

Take the time to look into Progressive online. Its a easy site to work with and you get an almost instant quote on the cost. Also look into total replacement on you runit. I found them very reasonable in cost. Never had to make a claim, so can't comment on that part.

After seeing our friends MH burn, we got serious about insurance. We went with Progressive. My DIL writes Progressive, so I let her handle it. I manage the policies online (boat policy too). I talked to Geico, but I suspect I was talking to someone in Asia. She assured me she could sell me RV insurance, but the quote was too good to be true. She didn't seem to understand anything about full timing. I just didn't want to take a chance. Have the roadside assistance with Progressive too. No claims; hope I don't have any either.

I ran across this when researching insurance, something to read before considering Progressive Ins.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't agree with how many of the rich folks spend their money....as long as they provide good service, and it's not from China I'll buy; they can spend their profits as they see fit. JMHO

We are so happy with our National Interstate Insurance... They have been awesome with our claims. We purchased it through our agent in Sioux Falls, SD.

We have Progressive--no claims thus far. How they spend their money is up to them. I spend my money the way I want to. All I want from any insurance company is quick, reliable service.

But, we do have a problem with some of where his donations have went. Do we know this donation stuff is true?

I may have to find out why Explorer RV quote us Progressive and not National Interstate.

Still looking.

Thanks, Judy

Judy,
When I went with my agent, they quoted Progressive as cheaper than National Interstate. That's why I changed to Progressive. I'll continue to badger my agent to find the cheapest, but best, insurance coverage.

Well National Interstate is out. I now know why no one was quoting it to us. They do not write policies in the State of Alabama where we are. We plan to keep our domicile here due to medical insurance reasons.

Do any of you other Alabamians have any comments in regards to Full time RV insurance?

Thanks, Judy
