Golf Carts and ATV's

I looked around some for info on the above. Found nothing so will start here.

I am looking for some transportation around the RV parks, and am looking at ATV's and golf carts. In the past I have not paid much attention as to whether or not RV parks had rules on golf carts (gas vs. electric) and the use of utility ATV's

I sure wouldn't like it if I purchased it and after the fact found that a lot or even a majority of the RV parks didn't allow them?

Anyone have any input?

Golf carts maybe, ATVs no.

Electric golf carts are quiet and slow and very popular in RV parks. ATVs are noisy and can move along quite fast and therefore not seen running around RV parks.
Many many RV parks use them all the time and in many cases will allow guests to use them. Last year we were in a park that actually rented them. Disney's Fort Wilderness rents them but you can bring your own.

Glenn is exactly right. ATVs would be frowned upon. Cannot think of a single CG that would ban golf carts. Most maintenance workers in parks use golf carts.

ALTHOUGH... I have seen some golf carts that fly through CG roads...

Rickfox most cgs here will let you use golf carts some even gas. But no atvs at myrtle beach that I know of. I pull my golf cart behind my 5er its elect. as dave said some will run pretty fast mine will run around 29 mph we ride out in the country alot.

You say you haul a golf cart behind your fiver. What do you use to put it on and are you happy with the way it handles. Very curiuos about this as I want to get a cart but not sure what kind of damage I will have in the back doing so. I have a 2007 3400RL.

I had several friends when I was in the PT Cruiser clubs that used electric two wheel scooters to get around in the car shows.

Dave I put a heavy duty hitch on mine and I pull it on a 10ft trailer. I have a picture of it in tenn on the way to pigeon forge I just dont know how to post it. some will tell you it is triple towing but SC state trooper said no. It pulls great. I would not put anything on the back of mine to haul supported off the frame. my trailer and cart is app 1500lb with 150lb tongue.

Here in Ohio there are a lot of cg's that allow golf carts, but, you must prove you have liability insurance. A few years ago, a cg north of Troy had a suit against them for letting drunks drive the carts and one hit a pedestrian. The cg's are just protecting themselves.
I'd like to have one, but I'm afraid I don't get enough exercise now and that would keep me from doing the walking I'm supposed to do.

We have an electric golf cart in McAllen, Tx. We leave it there all summer and use it during the winter in our park. Both gas and electric are used. Some have scooters also.

I've seen a couple of times, some RV parks would only allow electric golf carts..No gas because of noise.

Our CG here in WNY will only allow electric golf cart with proof on insurance, We are in a pretty ney park ( opened July 2008) We have not seen and two wheel scooters. Not sure if the park said no and they will only allow golf carts. We do enjoy our electric cart.

Some CGs require that you run the stock tires on the electric golf carts. They wont let you run the oversize that some are using on them.

Here in SC if you want to ride on state roads you have to have ins and a state sticker. mine is 5.00$ for the permit and I have full coverage just in case. We were having alot of them stolen at one time. most cgs make you have ins here.

We had a gas golf cart and where we were we had to have $1,000,000.00 insurance. Yes one million. Guess what it costs a year. Through my home owners...$14.00.
