Battery Replacement
We have a 2014 3582RL. Just wondering if you guys have any suggestions for battery replacement? I was thinking about going to a Gel battery. My batteries are going on 5 years old so I know I am on borrowed time.

What kind of batteries do you have now, did they work for your style of campaign? I replaced a single 12v in mine with 2 T105s, we do not do much dry camping so that works for us.

gosh, you have a lot of choices here. If money is not a big deal do the gel batteries, cool batteries. if not, just get whatever from sams, costco or walmart. and then there are the interstate batteries. all have some sort of warranty.
I used walmart batteris and interstate myself...they work fine.

Walmart and Interstate Batteries are made by Excide. If you examine the battery case close you will discover if they are rated the same they came out of the same mold. All plastic molds have little machines marks left in them and those marks are like fingerprints. No two are exactly the same. They are exactly the same other than the label that is attached after the battery is made. There are only 3 flood battery manufacturers in the US. Buy the one that is the less expensive.

My preference is gel. Maintenance free, off gas less than wet cells, and they are much better at holding a charge while in storage.

When mine need replacement I plan to use AGMs. Remember there is routine maintenance involved with Wet Cell.
My front two aren't bad, but the rear two are a real PITA to get to for checking and adding water.

We have only used AGM's for the last 8 years of full timing. I've got enough maintenance things on my plate without the batteries being in the mix.
