Living in an RV is just like living in a stick house. You have unique likes and dislikes and have to find a rig that fits who you are and how you want to live. We always want to eat in a booth and since booths are now on the outs in upscale RV's we bought a discontinued model a dealer really wanted to get rid of. We got a great deal, but that's not why we bought it. It was the only rig we looked at out of about 100 that we liked both the bedroom, dining area and the living room. We don't like bathroom fixtures (sinks, toilets etc) in the bedroom, others want that option. You just need a rig with plenty of storage that you want to live in.

We love ours because, as Dick said, the floorplan fit our needs. It's all personal preference.

We are not full timers, long timers. (5 months) As others have said, it is personal preference and what fits your needs and finances.

We love our 3400 floor plan, had a 2006 3400 and when we traded, bought the same floor plan. Looked around at all of the floor plans and kept on coming back to this. Really like the living room space, and the island in the kitchen.

If you plan on buying one when you retire in 13 years they'll probably have 2 story ones by then.

Model number "paid 4" would work best for me.

It is a good point that in 13 years who knows what an RV will look like.

To be quite honest it was difficult to convince Bonnie of the advantages of the Montana when the only choice was to have the shower and sink were in the bedroom. That all changed with the introduction of the 3700RL. Amazing how a full bathroom can change a woman's mind.
