Queen for a King

For those of you who have changed out your king mattress for a queen size, will a normal home dimension mattress fit length wise? We are thinking of replacing our current king with a sleep number and it was suggested to take our home sleep number and put it in the Monty and get a new one for the house. Not sure about the length with all the different sizes...radius corners, cali, blah, blah, blah. LOL

I swapped out the king for a regular queen (foam type)in the 08 2955RL we had. Then took that mattress and put it in out 2010 3150RL. In the 08 2955RL we still used the king bed spread with the radius corners on the regular mattress. It was a little large but worked for us.

We changed our king for a Sleep Number queen. We did get the RV queen with the radius corners. I think the length is the same. I notice that it touches and 'kind of bunches' at the dresser when the slide is closed. Not too much, and it doesn't impact the slide. We've had it for a couple of years now....and everything works fine. We really like the extra walk around room with the smaller mattress. We have a 3455.

We changed the King for a high dollar queen from our S&B when we sold it. Works great.

We changed ours out for a queen full size foam mattress. It does push up against the dresser but haven’t had any problems with it yet.

We replaced our King for a pillow top Queen, it's a Lady Americana (Pioneer) and it fits just fine.

We changed from the OEM King to a Sleep Number King w/Radius corners. Pushed up against the dresser but was soft enough that we never had a problem. The Radius corners gives just a little extra room around the end of the bed. We even moved the Sleep Number over to our SOB and fits about the same.

Same with us...love the extra room to move around the bed.

We bought a queen size and replaced the original camper queen. It fits fine, like others say, it pushed against the dresser, I lift it up when I close the slide, so it sits on top of the dressers. They are making mattresses so thick now and I didn't pay close enough attention. Ours is really too thick, which means it is really high.I wish I had paid attention and gotten a thinner one.
