Keystone Schedules ‘Unveiling’ at Open House
September 14, 2011 by RV Business
Goshen, Ind.-based Keystone RV Co. has slated the official unveiling of an all-new “top secret” product line at 11 a.m. on Sept. 20 in conjunction with Elkhart County’s 4th Annual RV Open House Week.
According to a press release, the event will be held at the Keystone’s display at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart.
“These are exciting times at Keystone,” says Group General Manager Matt Zimmerman. “You don’t want to miss this. We have dedicated thousands of hours to develop a product that is truly game changing. We not only believe it’s a viable product for our dealers but a product that consumers will flock to and get excited about.”
He added, “One look at this new product and our dealers will instantly know that this is a new perspective on camping. There is nothing like it on the market today.”
Without revealing too much, the company said that the product does not compete with any of the existing Keystone brands and it will be priced to “hit the sweet spot of the market.”

Wow, a Montana is not the sweet spot? I'm bummed now. Whatever it is, I hope it's put together better than what many of us have experienced.
Well, nothing like a secret being let out.
The MOC Rally will be there starting on Sep 21. Hopefully some MOCers (dsprik) post what they find.

They got the Helium Technology worked out and the unit will have no wheels. Just float on air.

I'm with Ozz. Even when I'm selling an RV, I always say "you should at least be handy with repairs if you want to own an RV". I don't think the big secret is the Alpine, I've seen several already. It's just a warmed over Monty. Larry

From reading the RV Industry news, it seems that Keystone got a 'new product' guy.

From the Alpine web site "Designed for the customer who demands a new level of quality, convenience, and features unimaginable just a few years ago."
Maybe Keystone has reinvented QUALITY .

If you watch the videos, it's a Montana with different graphics (that might actually stay on) and with tires and a suspension you may not have to replace right away as well as a silver refrigerator. Other than that it's a Montana without the "Big Sky package".

Not to get off subject but did you read this about the Alpine A/C??
"Whisper Air HVAC system works similar to the air conditioning system in your home. There is no unsightly A/C hole in your ceiling. In addition, the Whisper Air comes with a heat pump that helps save on heating bills. the brains of the system is the digital "Smart" thermostat with dual zone capability."
I wonder where the A/C unit is located?

Alfa used to do this. The HVAC was located under the floor, apparently creating quite an inconvenience for repairs.

Just looked at the floorplan of the 3600. Looks really nice. I particularly like that the couch is in the rear position. I wonder if it is less deep than the one in our 3400 which will not fit under the rear window and have the slides come in. If it is trully not as deep I would like to buy one (the couch that is).
