HEATING & COOLING

I asked before about the stair vents on the 3455SA Monty & received very good information. Thank you all for that.
Now my next question about heating & cooling air circulation concerns the basement area.
I've noticed that the area above the walls but between the rafters is open. Because the coach has the return air vents on the stairs I'm thinking of closing off the areas between the rafters with styrofoam blocks cut from the 2 inch thick sheets you can purchase from lumber companys. My thinking is this would reduce unwanted cold air/hot air when heating cooling the coach. In addition, would also keep flies, bugs etc out of the coach.
Has anyone done or thought of doing this to their coach ?? Do you think this would cause any type of air flow problems ??
Again, thank you all for your great help for this newbie.
