Licensing in Colorado
We will be moving this month from Arizona to Colorado. We will need to license all the vehicles in CO. My question is where do we go to get the Montana's VIN verified. I really can't see pulling it into a parking lot of the DMV. There must be some place we can take it to get this done.
Thanks for any help on this.

AZbear,
Welcome to Colorado. Colorado does require a VIN verification for any out of state vehicle. They don't care what paperwork you have in hand. They still want it verified.
The last time I had a verification (last year) I had a state patrol neighbor do it. If you go to any police station they can do it as well as any sheriff's office. Then there are certified places all over that can do the job. They all charge a fee (maybe $25)it varies.
However if you go to the state patrol they are free.
You might check out places once you move and get settled in. It isn't much of a problem really. Many of the places that do the verifications have large enough lots to pull in.
Joe
On Edit: DMV can tell you who can do the verifications in the area you are moving to.

All motorized vehicle dealers in Colorado are required by law to give VIN inspections so you can simply go to your nearest car dealership. Some may charge you a fee, some won't. I went to the Jeep dealer on Woodmen Rd. in Colorado Springs when I bought my Montana from out of state, they didn't charge me anything for the inspection.

Any law enforcement office can do them.
Where will you be moving to?
