Tips for seeing Niagara Falls?

We only have 1 day (tomorrow) and want to maximize our time there. We are somewhat limited in time by the fact that our dogs are hanging out in the trailer at the Westfield KOA while we are gone so we have about 8 hours total.

They are fine for that long (after a nice long morning walk) but it's about 1 1/2 hours drive each way so we have maybe 5 hours there.

Any suggestions on specific things to do and see while there would be appreciated given the limitations we have.

My wife has already spoken for the butterfly place and we do have our passports so we can go to the Canadian side as someone suggested already.

Thanks!

I posted on your other thread. You have to see it at night they light up the falls. You missed the fireworks show. Its on the weekend. Parking is not cheap there. I found a parking lot that I think $10 all day but dont hold me to that. It is however uphill when it's time to leave to get your car. Lots of casinos there, wasn't expecting that.
Traffic is much better on the Canadian side. Didn't eat at the restaurant at the tower though. I bet it had a wonderful view of the falls.

Just got back from a beautiful day at Niagara Falls! Not crowded at all, lovely weather and worth the 1 1/2 hr. drive from the Westfield NY KOA.

We crossed over on the Rainbow Bridge, answered about 15 questions by the Canadian border crossing official and then came back into the U.S. further north on the Canadian Hwy. 405

Very easy and a nice day!

Went over to the Canadian side as recommended, then up to the Botanical Gardens (a bit too early in the season) and really enjoyed the Butterfly Conservatory!

Tomorrow off to Vermont and New Hampshire area.

The view is decidedly better on the Canadian side for sure. Just be certain you have your passport and don't have a gun!!

The boats on the river are well worth it too!

Make sure you get Maple syrup in Vermont/NH!! And absolutely get LOBSTER if your near the coast!!!!!!!!!
