Small moves, please !!! Lol

My buddy has a nice RV setup and beautiful new Ram truck. Good quality hitch, great equipment all new and well maintained. Here is his problem, he drives like a crazy person. Too fast always, and when it comes to hitching up or unhitching he can't make small smooth moves. Jerky, too fast, not controlled movements. Bull in china shop comes to mind. Smashes truck into hitch, slams the king pin, then can't back down without dragging landing gear. Tell him just, back off presure to hitch, he nearly always overshoots. I have tried everything to no avail. He has high hitched twice, then bought the bed saver and landed in it more times than I can count. The other members of our group have tried to help. Ever met someone like this...?

Not to be rude, but how does this topic belong in this section? shouldn't it be in like the section called "Sitting around the camp fire?"

I have seen a couple of folks who started out like that, but they learned quickly

Got to have a good deal of money to keep making the same equipment damaging mistakes over and over.

Sounds like a good friend of mine long before I started RVing. There wasn't an ounce of graceful built into this guy. Just a big Silverback Gorilla. Never really paid much notice until we became roommates; slam, smash, pound, tromp. Used to drive me crazy lol.

One of those people always in a hurry. Never enough time to do it right the first time. And has to make time to do it over afterward. I have known some of those.
